Title: Cost Accountant
Reporting to: Comptroller, Assistant Comptroller
Location: Mississauga
Type: Full-time
Compensation: Dependent on experience and qualifications

Description: Key responsibilities

► Monitor all construction job costs and maintain up-to date cost files on active projects
► Report on construction jobs identifying costs to date, analyzing variances from budget, and
identifying where final costs are forecasted to run over budget
► Review change orders identifying why costs were required and ensure respective tenants
are billed appropriately and on a timely basis
► Prepare return on capital reports for completed capital construction jobs
► Review new building construction and classify costs into appropriate income tax categories
► Perform various internal control to ensure construction processes are being completed according
to company policies and best practices

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies

► Minimum of 2 years experience in the real estate construction industry
► Currently enrolled in a professional accounting accreditation/certification (CGA or CMA) ► Good analytical skills
► Strong communication skills, written and verbal with ability to effectively communicate with all departments
and tenants
► Excellent organizational time management skills
► Ability to work with minimal supervision and to interact at all organizational levels
► Fully computer literate with knowledge of all MS Office applications, working knowledge of CTI would be
an asset
► Self motivated individual with ambition to learn and succeed in a fast paced dynamic environment
